Cathe
is not only seen AS News, she's written news articles
since she was eight years old. Her first published
work was for the Kids Page in the Boston Herald American.
Eight years later, her article about the superintendent
for the Boston Public Schools was picked up not only
by the Herald, (after an editor read the student newspaper
from Madison Park High), but also the Christian Science
Monitor (Ironic?), and the Middlesex County News.
The
New Mexico Examiner used Cathe's writing skills in
a weekly pop-ed piece for two years, as she served
as an Assistant Professor in Communications at New
Mexico Highlands University. One of her most read
articles was regarding the suicide of Kurt
Cobain.
As
a features writer and editor, Cathe isn't afraid of
any subject. As a comedienne, her words tend to take
on a softer approach to biting subjects. She can let
you know how she feels, and not make you feel badly
if you disagree. As a reviewer, she's taken on theatrical
and musical projects, and doesn't sugar coat her feelings
at all. Corporations have hired her to rewrite presentations
and training materials to be more employee friendly.
Whatever the topic, she takes it on, makes it enjoyable,
and doesn't let you forget the points behind the humor.
The
list to the right has some of her most requested works,
and it even includes pieces she did as a high school
student that were so well noticed, they received attention
throughout New England, and some were reprinted for
weeks afterwards. Her work has garnished Ahmanson
Awards, Columbia School of Journalism awards, and
Scholastic Awards. |
