Cathe Jones The Book: CelebRATTIES

CelebRATTIES

(An Historical View of Rats and Rodents in Film, Television, and Literature)

The book is called "CelebRATTIES:The History of Rats in Film Television, and Literature".

As a long time animal trainer, CJ has been working exclusively with rats for the last ten years. During this time, she's been working on a collection of tales about these animals on the sets of motion pictures, television studios, and even in books.

This work is the history of these animals POST-plague eras. Since the late 1800's, rats have been used not only as laboratory animals, but as pets because of their intelligence. They have been used to illustrate Eisenstadt's Kine Eye, Kine Fist principles of film making. They have been honored in cartoons, then vilified by the same studios.

In fact, what she's found most interesting is the relationship of the use of rats in entertainment to climate of the social psychology of the given generation. In literature, rats as characters seem to parallel metaphorically as leaders or followers of the political climates. So, this book shows not only the amusing anecdotes of these animals as performers, but as reflections of the day.

Cathe's rats have appeared in rock videos, CSI, Showtime, and Animal Planet's Pet Star.
