DATELINE AUGUST 2007:
Cathe B
has unretired and will perform in the Comed-o-Therapy Benefit For the Jimmy Fund in Boston, October 23, 2007. This first in an annual event, is expected to sell out due to the media sponsorship of MySpace, A Place for Comedy, and corporate assistance of Audio-One, a Place for All Professional Audio and Video Needs. Other sponsors include: Acme Books of Somerville, and The Bill Rodgers Running Store, who have graciously donated items to ensure the event RUNS smoothly!

The Comedy Connection, Boston's first comedy venue hosts the event, and this is fitting as it is also a coming-home show for Cathe B who says, "I'm honored to perform with so many amazing comedians back in the town and the club that launched 23 years of stage time. What's more thrilling is that the event is in honor of my grandaunt, a lifetime Boston resident, battling stage four cancer- who spent years as a waitress. It really feels just right to return to the stage for her, and for this."

The event, emcee'd by Cathe B, stars such nationally recognized acts as:

  • Ian Harvie- From Margaret Cho's Sensuous Woman off Broadway burlesque and comedy revue and Logo TV
  • Chance Langton-Multiple TV Late night TV spots, cable specials and movie roles, and New England's favorite comic for over 20 years
  • Jim Lauletta- MTV and A&E spots, plus Vegas and road work keep this Boston native busy
  • Shane Mauss- Two recent Conan O'Brien spots make this comic a hot commodity, as does his Aspen and Las Vegas Festval appearances
  • Jon Lincoln- Boston local, and Boston Comedy Festival favorite manages to work all the New England clubs, and run the Cape Cod Comedy Talent Hunt, too!

Articles Highlighting CJ

Check Out the News Articles She's Written

These are some of the articles from the last few years. Cathe has been interviewed for hundreds of periodicals, radio, and television shows. Her first time in the paper was at the age of two, when a photographer caught the child leading a pack of ducklings around the Jamaica Pond in Boston.

In radio, she has served co-hosting shows on the Premiere Networks, has guest appeared on Cybergrrrls Radio, and has even worked as an emcee for her stations' publicity events. She has co-hosted Sacramento's Fringe Arts Television specials, and has a full half hour special done on her work in Ice Sculptures for Boston's First Night events.

Cathe has been featured by the Christian Science Monitor in an article about teens who work full time jobs while attending high school. This article is included, as is the one done on the work she was noted for, as a high school news reporter. CJ has managed to get at least three articles picked up by local and regional news services during her three years as a student in Madison Park High. Some of these articles are available on this site.
